HIPAA & MEDICARE COMPLIANCE

Physicians are increasing aware of the need for HIPAA Compliance and Medicare Compliance Plans. Specialty societies, attorneys, financial institutions and consultants all recommend that practice develop and maintain Compliance Plans.

MANAGEMENT DESIGN SERVICES RELATED TO COMPLIANCE PLANS:

• Creation of HIPAA compliance forms, policies, procedures and contracts; and Medicare Compliance Plans.
• Identification of New Policies, Procedures and Standards to be Developed and/or Modified.
• Baseline Audit.
• Periodic Audits.
• Management of Incidents:
  • Investigations.
  • Committee decisions, action, disciplinary action.
  • Action to prevent future incidents.
• Initial and ongoing Training of Physicians and Staff, including web-based, practice-specific compliance training.

To meet federal guidelines, all physicians, employees, and contractors such as billing services personnel must be fully trained regarding compliance, specific operation of the practice's Plan, and compliance-related job duties

It is generally difficult to gather all the people together for training. Therefore, Management Design has a special way of providing training. Management Design develops training sessions specifically designed to meet government requirements and each practice's unique needs then makes the training available to all practice physicians, employees, and contractors.
