PAUL ANGOTTI

Paul Angotti consults exclusively with physicians and medical groups. He has been a consultant for physicians since 1984 and routinely consults throughout the United States with leading-edge, innovative providers.

Mr. Angotti's areas of expertise include practice operations analysis and improvement (patient operations, marketing, billing and collections, and relations with referral sources), practice structure (mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, practice brokerage, practice valuations), financial analysis and planning (including managed care contract analysis and negotiations), physician recruitment and retention, compliance plans, compensation plans, strategic planning, development of business plans, and personnel development.

Paul Angotti has an extensive background in the practical application of computers and other high-tech systems to the daily operations of medical practices. He developed managed care computer systems for medical groups to manage capitation. The systems now are currently sold nationally by a computer software firm.

Mr. Angotti spent 16 years with the Eastman Kodak Company, rising to positions of responsibility for managing hundreds of people and multi-million dollar projects. As the leader of many task forces, and during the course of routine job assignments at Kodak, Paul developed efficient and effective operations and financial management that met the productivity and financial goals of the organization while creating an enriched work environment for people.

The transition to medical consulting came in the early years of his long consulting career. Mr. Angotti began working with physicians that needed expertise in making the most efficient use of resources (people, money and facilities) to operate a business that was successful in terms of patients, the professional and support staff, and profit. In the mid 80's, having negotiated and implemented some of the first HMO at-risk contracts on the east coast, Paul became so involved in the medical field that he gave up his non-medical clients. Since then, has limited his practice to physicians and medical groups.

Paul has a BSME from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont and his graduate work in business finance was at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He was a combat platoon leader in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division and 25th Infantry Division, Vietnam.

Mr. Angotti is President of the Boards of Directors of the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation and the Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, Onyx Productions, Los Angeles, CA, and Bauer Associates, Inc., Lake Tahoe, NV.

Mr. Angotti has authored a book and many journal articles for national professional magazines. He teaches courses, workshops, and multi-day seminars for a variety of colleges, universities, professional and civic associations, and government organizations.

Marcia Brauchler - Master of Public Health, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality

Ms. Brauchler is a health care consultant, working with physicians on managed care contracts, reimbursement and practice administration. Her experience includes being the executive director of several Denver independent practice associations. She is a published researcher on Medigap standardization.

Ms. Brauchler's work focuses on empowering physicians. She reviews HMO and PPO contracts for appropriateness to the medical practice and payment accuracy; managed care contract negotiations on behalf of physicians; and, comprehensive practice analysis to determine the reimbursement that is necessary from commercial plans to maintain practice profitability.

She received distinction and highest honors from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill when graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in health policy and administration. She received the outstanding graduate student award from the University of California at Los Angeles when graduating with a Master's degree in Public Health from the Department of Health Services.

Ms. Brauchler was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to serve on the Board of the state's uninsurable health insurance plan, and most recently, serves on the Governor's Steering Committee for comprehensive state healthcare reform. In addition, she serves as a Regent's Advisor for the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and maintains membership in the Medical Group Management Association, the American Association of Professional Coders. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality through the National Association for HealthCare Quality.
